Clint Hester has quietly picked up three straight wins inside the UFC – and six in a row overall – after his decision victory vs. Andy Enz Saturday at UFC 169.
Hester, an alum of The Ultimate Fighter, is now 10-3 overall in his career.
“Everything was done,” he said. “I was sticking to the plan.”
Hester showed much-improved wrestling vs. Enz, denying several takedown attempts and winning the bout on the feet.
“Andy tried to take me down, but I have a good defense,” he said. “I feel really comfortable, so I think I can improve day-by-day.”
Hester has now toppled Enz, Dylan Andrews and Bristol Marunde. He has not lost since a 2010 submission defeat to Cale Yarbrough.
For Enz, he stated, “I am really disappointed with my performance.
“I think I could be a better wrestler than him, but I couldn’t show that. I’m going back to the gym to reload.”
