If Nate Diaz doesn’t want the fight. And if Gilbert Melendez plans on passing it over, as well, there is at least one fighter out there willing to trade with Khabib Nurmagomedov.

Michael Johnson, fresh off a pair of victories over Gleison Tibau and Joe Lauzon to close out 2013, is ready to accept the challenge.

Johnson (12-8) posted the following on his Twitter page over the weekend after reports of Diaz declining the fight with the unbeaten Russian were made public.

Nurmagomedov (21-0) was briefly linked to a February fight with Melendez, a former Strikeforce champion. UFC president Dana White, though, stated earlier this month that the fight was announced before it was officially signed.
