UFC female bantamweight champion Ronda Rousey has become her own worst enemy – at least in terms of making money off her fights.

Rousey, who faces Miesha Tate this Saturday night at UFC 168, is always a betting favorite, something that upsets her corner.

“My whole corner bets on me. They get mad at me because my odds always suck,” said Rousey, appearing on a recent episode of FOX Sports Live. “They split like over $20,000 every fight because they believe in me. It doesn’t put any extra pressure on. My guys have faith in me.”

However, being the champion and unbeaten comes with consequences, as she continued.

“They’ll put down $20,000 to win five,” she said. “I was expecting the odds actually to be closer because I went to do all that movie stuff and I thought maybe people would doubt me.”
