An intriguing lightweight scrap is rumored for UFC 170, as Gilbert Melendez and Khabib Nurmagomedov appear set to collide.
The card goes down February 22 from Las Vegas, with Rashad Evans taking on Daniel Cormier in the planned main event.
Melendez (22-3) scored his first UFC victory this past October with a decision over Diego Sanchez. He had his seven-fight win streak snapped by Benson Henderson in his Octagon debut in a bout for the UFC lightweight title.
Nurmagomedov (21-0) has scored five straight wins since joining the promotion, including a decision over Pat Healy in September.
The Russian site, MMA Boxing, first reported news of the bout being signed.
