Liz Carmouche was one of the first UFC female fighters to throw their names in the hat to be a coach on the 20th season of The Ultimate Fighter.

The UFC announced on Wednesday plans for that season to feature 16 female strawweight fighters, with the tournament being used to crown a champion.

Such notables as Felice Herrig, Paige Van Zant and Carla Esparza were signed from Invicta FC, and Carmouche (9-4) would like to be one of the two coaches expected to be announced soon.

Carmouche, of course, faced Ronda Rousey in the UFC’s first-ever female fight earlier this year. She was defeated by first round submission, but went on to top Jessica Andrade this past July.

In November, Carmouche dropped a decision to Alexis Davis.
