Daniel Cormier’s light heavyweight debut will come against former UFC champion Rashad Evans at UFC 170.

Evans confirmed the news during the FOX Sports 1 pre-fight show Friday night.

Set for Las Vegas on February 22, the contest will serve as the main event, meaning it will be scheduled for five rounds.

Evans (19-3-1) improved his UFC mark to 14-3-1 with a recent victory over Chael Sonnen. He also topped Dan Henderson before that, snapping a two-fight losing skid.

Cormier (13-0) has won both of his Octagon matches, defeating Frank Mir and Roy Nelson. He has been planning a move to 205 since AKA teammate Cain Velasquez won back the UFC heavyweight title.
