Based on the ferocity with which UFC featherweight Ricardo Lamas (13-2) attacks his opponents you might not think patience is one of his stronger suits. However, Lamas’ willingness to wait for a title-shot to finally materialize instead of trying to talk his way into the opportunity ended up working out, as the 31-year old was recently booked for a bout with 145-pound champion Jose Aldo (23-1) at UFC 169. Lamas recently took some time to speak with about the process leading up to the biggest fight of his career, also explaining what it felt like to finally get the shot at Aldo and why he feels he has what it takes to beat the crafty Brazilian.
