Unbeaten UFC fighter Daniel Cormier will head to the Octagon a week from tonight as a heavyweight in hopes of adding Roy Nelson’s name to the list of high-level opponents he’s beaten since turning pro after a decorated wrestling career. However, despite a 12-0 mark thus far, Cormier isn’t sticking around in the division and is set on dropping down to 205 pounds for his future endeavors. “DC” recently elaborated on his reasons, mindset, and progress thus far in interviews with Inside MMA and MMAFighting, making it clear an extended run at light heavyweight is in the cards for Cormier regardless of how he fares at UFC 166.
