UFC welterweight Carlos Condit doesn’t have a lot of “quit” in him. “The Natural Born Killer” hasn’t been finished in more than seven years, losing three hard-fought decisions along the way including one to UFC Fight Night 27 foe Martin Kampmann. Based on Condit’s reputation for durability and his own personal experience with the former WEC champion, Kampmann knows winning won’t be easy on Wednesday night no matter how much offense he lands in the effort.

“I expect war,” said Kampmann matter-of-factly in a recent interview with Sherdog. “I’m preparing for five rounds of tough action. Condit always brings it and goes in there to finish his opponents and I do that too. It’s going to be a hell of a fight.”

Kampmann’s assessment certainly seems spot on. He has scored stoppages against 15 of the 20 opponents he’s beaten, while Condit has only notched two decision nods in 28 total victories. Fans can catch their clash in the headlining spot on FOX Sports 1.
