Ultimate Fighter winners will face off on November 6 in the form a fight between lightweights Michael Chiesa and Colton Smith. Adding intrigue, the bout gives Smith an opportunity to compete in front of his fellow soldiers thanks to the Fight for the Troops tag attached to the event.

Promotion officials have confirmed the clash’s spot on UFC Fight Night 31. The card, destined for Fort Campbell in Kentucky, is headlined by a middleweight match-up between Tim Kennedy-Lyoto Machida.

Chiesa suffered the first loss of his career last month, falling to Jorge Masvidal at UFC on FOX 8. Prior to the stumble the Season 15 champ had won nine fights including seven by way of submission.

The 3-2 Smith fell in his first Octagon appearance after emerging on TUF 16 as the last man standing. Like Chiesa, the bulk of his victories have come via tap-out.
