Former Bellator fighter Jessica Eye hasn’t called the UFC home yet for more than a day and already has her first in-Octagon assignment. Rather than draw an easy task, Eye will instead take on seasoned veteran Sarah Kaufman in a bantamweight battle at UFC 166.

The 27-year old competitor confirmed the match-up in a conversation with MMA DieHards Radio.

Eye holds a 10-1 mark including success against Carina Damm and Zoila Gurgel. The majority of her victories have come via decision though she does have two TKOs and a single submission under her belt.

Kaufman, who once held Strikeforce gold, will be making her UFC debut in the bout as will Eye. The 16-2 Canadian has long been one of the top female fighters in MMA with wins over the likes of Shayna Baszler, Liz Carmouche, and Miesha Tate.

UFC 166 is scheduled for October 19 in Houston. The card features heavyweight champ Cain Velasquez putting his gold up for grabs against Junior dos Santos in the main event.
