Over the past year, a common storyline in the headlines has featured a fighter being cut by the UFC and subsequently signed by Bellator. However, the roles have been reversed in the case of Jessica Eye. The talented 27-year old was recently released along with the rest of the women competing under Bellator’s banner, but it looks like she won’t have to wait long to get her hands dirty again, as Eye has been inked to a deal by the UFC.

A report from UFC Tonight announced her signing with Eye also confirming the matter on Twitter, posting a picture of her signing a contract at Browns Stadium in Cleveland, Ohio (where she hails from).

Eye has already been rumored for a rumble with Sarah Kaufman at some point in the coming months.

The 10-1 grappler will move up from 125 pounds to compete as a bantamweight in the Octagon. Eye is currently on a seven-fight winning streak including success against Carina Damm and Zoila Gurgel.
