Though he’s shown flashes of brilliance in his career, UFC featherweight Charles Oliveira days in the organization could definitely be limited as a result of the Brazilian dropping his last two tilts. Fortunately, fans won’t have to wait long to see what his future holds, as the odds on Oliveira seeing action in the Octagon next year will become much clearer this fall.

According to UFC officials, “Do Bronx” has been booked for a bout on October 19 at UFC 166 against Estevan Payan.

Oliveira is 16-4 in his career including notable wins over Darren Elkins, Efrain Escudero, and Jonathan Brookins. Also impressive, the 23-year old has secured stoppages in all but one of his victories.

The 14-4 Payan had a seven-fight unbeaten streak snapped by Jeremy Stephens in May. The bout marked his Octagon debut after going 2-0 under the Strikeforce banner.
