Ultimate Fighter 19 seeking middleweight, light heavyweight contestants

TUF 18 has yet to hit the airwaves but the UFC is already looking forward to the following season. Though little is known about the Ultimate Fighter 19, including who will serve as head coaches on the show, a little information on the upcoming effort was released earlier today giving fans a basic idea of what to expect in 2014 when the show debuts.

According to a press release from the UFC, the first leg of tryouts will take place on August 27 in Indianapolis while the organization is town for UFC Fight Night 27. Folks interested in giving it a go must show up ready to grapple/strike and call either the middleweight or light heavyweight division home.

If selected, contestants will then need to travel to Las Vegas on Labor Day Weekend for the final casting session.

TUF 19 will air in early 2014 on FOX Sports 1.

  • Dufresne says:

As much as the UFC needs new LHWs, I think they should have made this MWs and HWs. But what do I know?

  • MCM says:

Didn’t last season do MWs? I’d have rather seen HW’s and LHW’s or a true all HW season with real fighters and not a bunch of NFL washouts.

Side note: What ever happened to Demico Rogers?

TUF is getting stale. That’s why I’m liking Fight Master better these days.
