The preliminary pairings attached to UFC 163 stole the show on Saturday night, as all three of the evening’s performance-based bonuses went to bouts from the pre-PPV lineup. Each award was worth an extra $50,000 to the winner.

A flyweight meeting featuring Ian McCall and Illarde Santos earned Fight of the Night honors with each man getting the better of the other at certain points of the spirited affair. McCall came away from the outing with his hand raised by way of decision, marking his first victory inside the Octagon.

A surprising strike-based stoppage from Anthony Perosh netted Knockout of the Night. Perosh’s strike-based stoppage of opponent Vinny Magalhaes came just fourteen seconds into the fight. The outcome was the fifth TKO of the 41-year old’s career.

Finally, Sergio Moraes won Submission of the Night for his impressive Triangle Choke of Neil Magny. Rather than secure the technique from the bottom as is standard practice, the slick BJJer locked it up from full mount to get his seventh tap-out in eight total victories.
