Though the curtain covering TUF 18 won’t be fully pulled back until September 4 when the franchise’s latest season debuts on FOX Sports 1 its clear UFC bantamweight champ Ronda Rousey exited the reality show with a significantly sized chip on her shoulder in relation to Miesha Tate. The heat between the two was on full boil this past week during a press conference where Rousey called upon her training with Nick Diaz, giving Tate the bird during a face off.

Rousey spoke to MMAFighting after the exchange, elaborating on how her respect for Tate had been further reduced based on how the title-contender acted on set.

“You have to realize me and Miesha already finished filming TUF, so no one really knows where we left off, but we do. I can’t really say that much, but I think that things definitely got worse between me and her. I can’t really allude to why so much as she’s never gonna have an Armenian fan again. That’s kind of why I like her less and it’s very noticeable,” said Rousey. “It definitely didn’t come out of nowhere. You have to watch the show to understand. Even then, there was so much that went on that there’s no way they could put it in that many episodes.”

The 26-year old superstar will understandably use the experience for motivation to mash her in their December 28 match-up at UFC 168, making it clear her dislike of Tate isn’t manufactured for TUF 18 or to sell tickets.

“I don’t really use the term ‘hate’ but I have learned more about her personality and I haven’t really seen anything I like,” offered Rousey on her feelings towards Tate. “I would compare it to chewing tinfoil.”
