Fans in the Lone Star State will have a chance to show some love for one of their fellow Texans when the UFC stops in Houston this October. According to an official announcement, welterweight grappler T.J. Waldburger will look to build on his 16-7 record against Russian strike Adlan Amagov at UFC 166.

Waldburger, who hails from Belton, Texas, has won three of his last four fights and choked Nick Catone out cold the last time he took to the Octagon. Thirteen of his wins have come by way of submission, technical or otherwise.

The 12-2-1 Amagov will no doubt be gunning for Waldburger’s occasionally questionable chin when the two collide. He is currently riding the momentum of back-to-back wins.

UFC 166 is scheduled for October 19 with Cain Velasquez putting his heavyweight title on the line against Junior dos Santos in a headlining bout.
