An interesting lightweight match-up with impact on the contendership picture has been booked for November 6 at a yet-to-be-announced UFC event in the form of Jorge Masvidal-Rustam Khabilov. Neither man has been beaten in the Octagon.

The fight was first reported on this week’s episode of UFC Tonight. No specifics were offered in terms of location, though the card is expected to serve as part of the Fight for the Troops series.

Masvidal was last seen choking out Michael Chiesa at UFC on FOX 8. He holds an overall record of 25-7 including triumphs in his last three tilts.

The 16-1 Khabilov is on a five-fight winning streak and has scored TKOs in both of his UFC bouts. Nine of his total victories have featured some form of finish with a nice balance between strike-based stoppages and submissions.
