Yesterday marked the one-year anniversary of the last time welterweight slugger Paul Daley was seen in the States, picking up an opening round knockout of Rudy Bears under the Bellator banner. Daley’s absence from American venues stems from “Semtex” being stuck in the United Kingdom due to some legal issues he’s since been cleared of. However, that’s not to say the 33-12-2 striker hasn’t been staying busy.

Daley picked up his third consecutive strike-based stoppage in the span last night in Liverpool, England at Cage Warriors 57 when doctors waived off a clash with Lukasz Chlewicki based on damage done in the first frame. The victory was Daley’s 24th by way of TKO and cleared a path for him to return to Bellator this fall now that his visa issues have been resolved.

On the subject of Bellator, two more of the organization’s veterans saw action at the event with both emerging with a triumph in tow. Bantamweight Ronnie Mann stopped opponent Jose Luis Zapater with strikes a little more than three minutes into their match-up, while Frenchman Norman Paraisy earned a decision nod over Leeroy Barnes.
