Former WEC featherweight champ Mike Brown will see action against an Ultimate Fighter 14 alumnus at UFC on FS 1, albeit not the one he expected to face when initially booked for the August 17 event. Brown’s original opponent, Akira Corassani, has been forced out of the fight due to injury with Steven Siler sliding into the vacancy.

UFC officials have confirmed the change.

Siler is 4-1 since his stint on TUF 14 including a win over seasoned veteran Cole Miller. He holds an overall record of 22-10 with thirteen submissions to his credit.

The 26-8 Brown is on a two-fight run but hasn’t fought since May 2012. Among his notable past victories are those over and Jeff Curran, Nam Phan, Yves Edwards, and Urijah Faber.
