UFC heavyweight Mark Hunt’s recent fight with Junior dos Santos may have ended a few weeks ago, but the slugger’s battle with injuries related to the rumble have kept him occupied ever since. Hunt exited the affair with a broken toe and, according to a recent Tweet, had surgery last week for an infection in his leg stemming from a hematoma he sustained in the scrap.

“I’m a walking infection,” joked Hunt in his post, showing he’s remained in good spirits despite the situation. The “Super Samoan” also posted a picture of himself in a hospital bed, saying he was still set to go under the knife a few more times before making a decision about the next move in his career.

No specific timetable was mentioned for his return to 100%.

The 9-8 Hunt lost in the final few minutes of his UFC 160 match-up with Dos Santos. The stumble snapped a four-fight winning streak and cost him a crack at champion Cain Velasquez.
