UFC icon B.J. Penn (16-9-2) has been weighing whether or not to attempt one last comeback before calling it quits for good. However, one thing his certain – he’ll be fighting as a lightweight if interested in continuing his career.

Penn’s desire to drop back down 155 pounds was confirmed this week on UFC Tonight. “The Prodigy” is a former divisional champion and has fared much better against opponents his own size than at welterweight where he’s spent a good portion of his run in the ring.

If Penn does indeed decide to give it a go in the Octagon he’ll have a handful of options to choose from in terms of opponents. Two names likely to be on that list, at least based on recent comments, are Evan Dunham and Khabib Nurmagomedov. Both men went on Twitter to offer their services against Penn, showing respect along with their challenges rather than talking any trash.

Dunham is 14-4 with past victories over Efrain Escudero, Tyson Griffin, and Gleison Tibau. Perhaps more intriguing, Nurmagomedov is unbeaten in twenty tilts including four wins under the UFC banner.
