The expectations for UFC middleweight Uriah Hall were extremely high entering the Ultimate Fighter 17 Finale given his performance on the attached season and a ton of hype from UFC President Dana White. Of course, things didn’t exactly play out as planned and Hall lost a Split Decision to underdog Kelvin Gastelum.

Hall will have a chance to redeem himself in a few months when he meets Nick Ring at UFC on FS 1. Officials announced the bout’s addition to the August 17 card earlier today.

The 7-3 Hall has finished six of his opponents including four by way of strikes. Prior to his loss to Gastelum he’d won a trio of tilts in a row not counting the sensational stoppages he scored on TUF 17.

Ring is 13-2 in his career and far from an easy draw. Since his time on TUF 11, the Canadian has picked up three victories in the Octagon including success against James Head and Court McGee.
