UFC lightweight Reza Madadi is used to getting attention for smashing opponents inside the cage but it’s his role in the alleged beatdown of a door and ensuing robbery drawing a spotlight to the Swedish fighter today. According to a report from regional outlet Expressen, as well as court documents attached to the case, Madadi was arrested over the weekend in connection with the theft of approximately $150,000 worth of high-end handbags in Stockholm.

Allegedly, Madadi was part of a group of criminals who broke into a boutique and fled. He is currently denying any involvement.

The 13-3 Madadi is coming off a submission win over Michael Johnson and was set to meet Michael Chiesa at UFC on FOX 8 before visa issues took him out of the tilt.

Neither Madadi or the UFC have made an official comment on the situation.
