UFC heavyweight Mark Hunt has found himself stuck in an unexpected battle a little more than two weeks out from to his co-headlining clash with Junior dos Santos at UFC 160. According to the heavy-handed kickboxer, he has been denied the ability to leave New Zealand based on a past arrest affecting the status of his visa.

“This is what happens when you have friends that are dickheads. The last f*ckin time I help these motherf*ckin trouble makers,” wrote Hunt on Twitter early this morning. “Denied again at airport. I’m never helping anymore dickhead mates.”

Hunt didn’t go into details of his arrest but indicated it was the result of a friend’s actions. He also didn’t indicate the issue would cost him the ability to compete against Dos Santos on May 25 though clearly the possibility is there.

The 39-year old is attempting to fly to the United States as a means of acclimating to the time difference between his home in New Zealand and Las Vegas where UFC 160 is being held.

UFC officials have yet to comment on the still-developing situation.
