UFC bantamweight Dustin Pague fought three times in three months last year but has received a solid break since and is now ready to return to the ring. According to the UFC, the Ultimate Fighter 14 alumnus will see action on June 15 when he faces Yves Jabouin at UFC 161. Jabouin hails from Montreal and will undoubtedly be the Canadian crowd’s favorite come showtime, giving Pague one more problem to deal with on top of a talented adversary.
Pague is 11-7 with stoppages in all of his wins including eight submissions. He is currently coming off back-to-back losses in the Octagon after picking up an opening round submission of Jared Papazian at UFC on FX 3.
The 18-8 Jabouin also tasted defeat the last time he took to the cage. However, prior to the stumble he’d won three straight.
UFC 161 is headlined by a bantamweight title-fight between interim champion Renan Barao and former WEC king Eddie Wineland. Other bouts include Mauricio Rua-Antonio Rogerio Nogueira, Jake Shields-Tyron Woodley, and Dan Henderson-Rashad Evans.
