Dominick Cruz - MMAWEEKLYUFC bantamweight champ Dominick Cruz hasn’t seen action since October 2011 and wants nothing more than to end that drought as soon as possible. Unfortunately, Cruz still doesn’t have a specific timetable on his comeback as he continued to rehab a second torn ACL he suffered while recovering from the first.

Though Cruz may not know when he’ll be healthy enough to compete again, “The Dominator” definitely has one certainty in mind.

“I’m listening to my doctors because if I don’t, I get hurt again,” explained Cruz in an interview with Sherdog. “The focus is to not let myself go in there early. I’ll give a date when I have it.”

“I can’t wait to get back into the cage for my fans. I want a date, but don’t have one,” he concluded.

Cruz is 19-1 and has come out with his hand raised in ten straight scraps. The 27-year old champion is expected to face the winner of an upcoming bout between interim title-holder Renan Barao and contender Eddie Wineland when he makes his way back into the Octagon.
