Oft-injured featherweight Manny Gamburyan has once again gone down after suffering some sort of damage while training for a tilt and, as a result, been removed from a May 18 match-up with Hacran Dias at UFC on FX 8. Fortunately, the UFC was able to find a replacement for Gamburyan in the form of Nik Lentz, providing an equally intriguing bout at the Brazil-bound event.
UFC officials have confirmed the change. The scrap will likely to serve as the final preliminary fight on Fuel TV before FX takes over with main card clashes.
Lentz is 2-0 at 145 pounds since dropping down from lightweight with an outpointing of Diego Nunes in his most recent rumble. He is 23-5-2 in his career with sixteen stoppages including six TKOs and ten submissions.
In Dias, Lentz will face a fighter boasting a 21-1-1 mark in the ring and wins in his last nine efforts.
