Bellator 93 PosterAfter a week off Bellator is back with a lineup of action sure to entertain the MMA masses! Though the card lost a heavyweight featured fight between Brett Rogers-Eric Prindle yesterday when the latter suffered an injury, Bellator 93 was still highlighted by a lightweight tournament final pitting Polish submission specialist Marcin Held against fellow grappler Dave Jansen in addition to action from Travis Wiuff and Waachim Spiritwolf.

Though Held came close to procuring a few of his patented leg-based submissions throughout the three-rounder, Jansen was able to prevent the Polish grappler from cinching them up and held on for a Unanimous Decision win thanks to the damage he dished out along the way. The victory improved Jansen’s record to 19-2 and snapped a five-fight winning streak for Held.

Unfortunately, Spiritwolf’s scrap with Marcus Davis never really got going after an accidental knee to the Strikeforce veteran’s groin left him unable to continue, forcing the ref to come in and wave things off as a No Contest. Meanwhile, Wiuff was starched in the early stages of his meeting with Ryan Martinez and lost by way of knockout.
