Hacran DiasOne of the UFC’s up-and-coming title-contenders has drawn action against one of the organization’s former challengers in the form of a fight between featherweights Hacran Dias and Manny Gamburyan. Dias is on an impressive run, picking up wins in his last nine outings, while Gamburyan competed for the WEC title in 2010 and is also a former Ultimate Fighter finalist.

Though not officially announced, Brazilian outlet SporTV reported both parties have agreed to the pairing and are expected to mix it up on May 18 at UFC on FX 8.

The 12-7 Gamburyan hasn’t fought since an August outpointing of Michihiro Omigawa. He also holds past wins over Leonard Garcia and Mike Brown.

Diaz is 20-1-1 in his career, adding to the stable of successful fighters attached to the Nova Uniao group. Twelve of his victories have featured some form of stoppage.
