TJ Grant - UFCUFC lightweight Gray Maynard has been an afterthought as of late based on an extended period of injury-related inactivity, sitting out for most of last year and a good chunk of 2011 to boot. However, “The Bully” is ready to make his way back into the Octagon and subsequently onto the short list for title-contenders. And, come on Memorial Day Weekend, he’ll have a chance to do both.

According to UFC officials, Maynard has agreed to action against T.J. Grant at UFC 160. The May 25 match-up is the latest added to the increasingly stacked lineup topped by a heavyweight tilt between Cain Velasquez-Antonio Silva.

The 11-1-1 Maynard owns a number of impressive wins in the past including those over Jim Miller, Kenny Florian, Nate Diaz, Frankie Edgar, and most recently Clay Guida.

While Maynard has been a longtime staple in the upper-echelon of the division, Grant is a newcomer to the fray albeit a deserving one. He holds an overall record of 20-5 with sixteen stoppages and has yet to taste defeat four fights into his run at 155 pounds. Grant was last seen scoring an opening round TKO of Matt Wiman at UFC on FOX 6.
