Chris SpangTwo more fighters who called Strikeforce home in recent years have been given a shot on the sport’s biggest stage, as a bout between Adlan Amagov-Chris Spang has been booked for April 6 in Stockholm, Sweden at UFC on Fuel 9. Spang hails from the region despite training Stateside, giving fans at the show a chance to cheer on one of their own against a very apt adversary.

Swedish outlet Aftonbladet was first to report the rumble. UFC on Fuel 9 is set to feature Alexander Gustafsson and Gegard Mousasi mixing it up in the main event.

Amagov (11-2-1) has come out with his hand raised in five of his last six fights, beating Keith Berry his last time out. Also impressive, four of those victories involved a finish in the first frame.

Spang holds a 5-1 mark with three TKOs to his credit. His most recent effort involved an opening round strike-based stoppage of Nah-Shon Burrell last May.
