Roger BowlingA trend involving fighters formerly calling Strikeforce home earning spots at UFC on FOX 7 continued today with the addition of fights featuring Jorge Masvidal and Roger Bowling. Masvidal, a former title-contender, has been matched with Tim Means, while Bowling will test himself in a new division against WEC stand-out Anthony Njokuani.

UFC officials have confirmed both fights for the San Jose show. Other Strikeforce veterans on the April 20 lineup include Josh Thomson, Gilbert Melendez, and Daniel Cormier.

Masvidal, who holds an overall mark of 23-7, has been itching for action after more than six months out of the cage. The American Top Team product has put away ten of the opponents he’s beaten by way of strikes and holds past wins over the likes of Yves Edwards, Billy Evangelista, Justin Wilcox, and K.J. Noons.

Comparably, Means is 18-3-1 in his career with sixteen stoppages and is currently on a nine-fight run including two victories inside the Octagon.

Bowling (11-3) is dropping down to 155 pounds after a run at welterweight for his face-off with Njokuani where he’ll hope to capitalize on the same power delivering seven past wins via TKO. Of course, the 15-7 Njokuani is known for his slick stand-up and should provide a solid test for Bowling on that front.
