The final event in Strikeforce history avoided any unnecessary black-eyes this week when the Oklahoma State Athletic Commission released results for the regulatory board’s post-fight drug screenings and cleared all tested competitors for use of banned substances. The organization only drew samples from five fighters including headliners Nate Marquardt and Tarec Saffiedine, as well as from Kurt Holobaugh, Tim Kennedy, and Josh Barnett.

MMAJunkie was first to report the OSAC’s findings (or lack thereof as the case may be).

Marquardt and Barnett are particularly notable, at least in the eyes of some, based on past issues with performance enhancing drugs. However, as evident by their recent tests, both clearly had no need for anything illicit leading up to last weekend’s lineup at Strikeforce: Marquardt vs. Saffiedine.
