Welterweight Jason High is the latest fighter to surf the flood of Strikeforce talent into the UFC, signing a deal to compete inside the Octagon at some point in the near future. While he doesn’t have an opponent yet, an announcement is expected soon.
High confirmed his new professional home by way of Twitter.
The 16-3 High won’t be making his UFC debut whenever he does see action after making a single appearance inside the company’s eight-sided cage a couple of years ago. Though he lost the bout by way of decision, High hasn’t tasted defeat since with seven straight wins to his credit. Among the opponents the Kansas City product has taken out during his career thus far are the likes of Andre Galvao, Hayato Sakurai, and Jordan Mein.
