With Invicta FC 4 freshly in the books, the all-female fight promotion has turned its attention towards to the future and already has a solid slew of talent lined up for a spring card. Though no date or location was confirmed, officials announced a few basic details including the event’s attachment to April.

Also revealed was the expected involvement of former Strikeforce bantamweight champ Sarah Kaufman, as well as two Invicta FC title-fights including the company’s crowning of its inaugural flyweight queen.

Kaufman hasn’t seen action since an August loss to Ronda Rousey, withdrawing from an October outing after suffering an injury at the gym. Holding an overall record of 15-2, the Canadian competitor is widely considered to be one of the top women in MMA with ten knockouts to her credit in addition to victories over Roxanne Modafferi, Miesha Tate, and Liz Carmouche.

No opponent for Kaufman was named.

In other featured action at Invicta FC 5, Vanessa Porto (15-5) and Barb Honchak (7-2) will face off for the flyweight strap. Porto has finished ten of the fifteen foes she’s felled, while Honchak is currently on a six-fight winning streak including names like Modafferi, Aisling Daly, and Felice Herrig.

Last but not least, atomweight champion Jessica Penne will put her gold up for grabs against a yet-to-be-named adversary. The 10-1 Penne brought home the belt in October by choking out Naho Sugiyama, her third straight instance of in-ring success and sixth win by way of submission.
