The stream of Strikeforce fighters signing to fight under the UFC banner doesn’t appear to be drying up anytime soon, as welterweight Roger Bowling recently revealed he’d inked a deal to appear inside the Octagon at some point in the coming months. Bowling participated in a number of entertaining efforts during his time his Strikeforce including a notable series of scraps with Bobby Voelker.

“Just received my UFC contract for 2013,” exclaimed the excited 30-year old on Twitter. “This is going to be an AWESOME year! Hoping to get a fight late March or early April.”

Bowling is 11-3 thus far in his career with nine stoppages including seven via strikes. When he does finally see action, Bowling will be looking to bounce back from a decision loss to Tarec Saffiedine this past August laying waste to a small winning streak the Ohio native had compiled prior to the stumble.
