It wouldn’t be New Year’s Eve without MMA in Japan and, thanks to Glory Sports International’s decision to rekindle DREAM, fans were treated to another dose of festivities from the Far East before ushering in 2013. The card featured a sixteen-man heavyweight kickboxing tournament including some of the sport’s best with hundreds of thousands of dollars at stake, in addition to a number of intriguing match-ups featuring mixed rules.

Among the MMA bouts unfolding from Saitama Super Arena are those such as Bibiano Fernandes-Yoshiro Maeda, Phil Baroni-Hayato Sakurai, Melvin Manhoef-Denis Kang, Tatsuya Kawajiri-Michihiro Omigawa, and Antonio McKee-Shinya Aoki.
