This weekend’s lineup for UFC on FOX 5 is as stacked as any PPV, and it appears the trend will continue on January 26 when the Octagon returns to network television for a sixth time. Already featuring flyweight title-fight between Demetrious Johnson-John Dodson, as well as bouts including Donald Cerrone-Anthony Pettis, Hatsu Hioki-Clay Guida, and Quinton Jackson-Glover Teixeira, the card recently received another notable clash in the form of a fight between talented 205ers Ryan Bader-Vladimir Matyushenko.

Event officials have confirmed the UFC on FOX 6 match-up. An undercard fight between David Mitchell and Simeon Thoresen was also announced.

The 14-3 Bader established himself as a force en route to winning TUF 8 and has been sharp since, picking up victories over the likes of Keith Jardine, Antonio Rogerio Nogueira, and “Rampage” Jackson. However, he suffered a knockout loss to Lyoto Machida in his last outing and should be at the top of his game against Matyushenko as a result.

Holding an overall record of 26-6, Matyushenko is a fifteen-year veteran of the sport with sixteen stoppages to his credit. Like Bader, he too is coming off a losing performance and, at age 41, could find himself a free agent if unsuccessful in the scrap.
