Any would-be criminals planning to attend UFC on FOX 6 are set for a reminder on the danger of crossing paths with the law, as Chicago cop Mike Russow has signed on for action at the January 26 show in his hometown. Rather than walking the beat that night, Russow will be looking to dish a beating out inside the cage against Shawn Jordan.

UFC officials have confirmed the clash. Likewise, a bout between featherweights Erik Koch-Ricardo Lamas was also said to have been shifted from UFC 155 to the January event.

Russow recently had an eleven-fight winning streak snapped this past June. Prior to the loss, the 15-2 Russow had gone 4-0 under the UFC’s banner including success against Todd Duffee and Jon Olav Einemo.

Comparably, Jordan is 1-1 in the Octagon and is also coming off a 2012 defeat. He holds an overall record of 13-4 with twelve stoppages and his most impressive win coming against Lavar Johnson a little over a year ago in Strikeforce.

UFC on FOX 6 is headlined by a title-fight between flyweight champion Demetrious Johnson and Jon Dodson with other bouts linked to the lineup such as Clay Guida-Hatsu Hioki, Anthony Pettis-Donald Cerrone, and Quinton Jackson-Glover Teixeira.
