Though the event hasn’t been officially announced, all signs have pointed to the UFC holding a January 19 show in Brazil. Lending substance to the rumored lineup, a handful of match-ups have been linked to the card including a recently revealed bout between bantamweights Yuri Alcantara and George Roop.

Alcantara was originally thought to be facing Johnny Eduardo, though it appears the UFC will instead book Eduardo against a different opponent.

SporTV was first to report the rumble, also revealing Eduardo’s status as well as another fight featuring regional products Godofredo Castro/Milton Vieira.

The 28-4 Alacantara will be competing at 135 pounds for the first time inside the Octagon come showtime. He was last seen suffering a decision loss to Hacran Dias in June, snapping a thirteen-fight winning streak in the process including success against Michihiro Omigawa and Ricardo Lamas.

Roop will be returning to bantamweight after giving it a go, albeit unsuccessfully, earlier in his career. He holds an overall record of 12-9 with past wins over the likes of Josh Grispi and Chan Sung Jung. However, Roop will likely be fighting for his job in January, losing his last two tilts including a knockout to Cub Swanson in his most recent outing.
