A bout with contendership implications in the bantamweight division has been booked for UFC on FOX 5 in the form of Mike Easton-T.J. Dillashaw. Both men are riding the momentum of consecutive wins including eight in a row for Easton.

UFC officials confirmed the match-up’s addition to the December 8 lineup already featuring fights like B.J. Penn-Rory MacDonald, Alexander Gustafsson-Mauricio Rua, and Benson Henderson-Nate Diaz.

Easton is coming off perhaps his most impressive performance to date, outpointing Ivan Menjivar at UFC 148. He holds an overall record of 13-1 including wins over the likes of Chase Beebe and John Dodson.

The 6-1 Dillashaw has looked sharp as of late as well, scoring back-to-back wins in the Octagon after coming up short as an Ultimate Fighter finalist. The Team Alpha Male representative was last seen submitting Vaughan Lee in the opening round of their July bout.
