Officials from newly-formed MMA promotion World Series of Fighting made it clear the company is poised to make a significant splash when the organization puts forth its inaugural offering in a few months after holding a recent press conference announcing a number of notable fighters attached to the November 3 lineup. Though a handful of the competitors still need in-ring adversaries, a quartet of match-ups were revealed as well including a few featuring UFC/Strikeforce veterans.

According to the WSoF, the card will be headlined by former WEC champion Miguel Torres against a yet-to-be-named opponent. Torres will be looking to bounce back from a knockout loss in his last outing in hopes of adding to his overall record of 40-5 with 32 stoppages to boot.

The event will also be highlighted by action from Rolles Gracie, James McSweeney, and Bobby Lashley. While the aforementioned foursome may need foes, specific fights scheduled for the show include Josh Burkman-Gerald Harris, Gregor Gracie-Tyson Steele, Ronys Torres-Brian Cobb, and Gesias Cavalcante-John Gunderson.

Also confirmed, the WSoF will air live on NBC Sports though details weren’t offered in terms of how many fights would be broadcast.
