When Strikeforce heavyweight Daniel Cormier heads to Oklahoma City in a few months to put his unbeaten record on the line against former UFC title-holder Frank Mir it appears he’ll do so with the added support of a teammate in tow, as middleweight champion Luke Rockhold’s name has now been attached to the November 3 lineup. Both men are key members of American Kickboxing Academy and competed on the same card back in September when Rockhold won his belt.

The 10-1 Rockhold recently went on Twitter to confirm he was returning to full-time training for his next fight and said an official announcement would be forthcoming. MMAWeekly has since confirmed the date/location. It is unknown if Rockhold’s title-defense will headline the card, thus preventing Mir-Cormier from being a five-rounder, or take a backseat to the heavyweight tilt.

Though initially it was strongly believed the champ would face former divisional king Ronaldo Souza at the event,  it now appears Lorenz Larkin will instead be the man standing opposite from Rockhold in the ring. Larkin holds an overall record of 13-0 and is coming off a decision win over Robbie Lawler.
