Unbeaten lightweight Paul Sass’ rumored match-up at UFC on Fuel 5 in Nottingham, England became reality last night when the 23-year old Brit announced on Twitter he was facing Matt Wiman at the September 29 show. Sass was first linked to the card after his win over Jacob Volkmann at UFC 146 when UFC President Dana White was asked about the organization’s upcoming return to the United Kingdom.

Sass holds an overall record of 13-0 with ten first-frame stoppages and twelve total victories by way of submission.

Comparably, Wiman is 14-5 and has never been tapped out in his eight-year career. The Ultimate Fighter alumnus has come out with his hand raised four of the last five times he’s fought, racking up wins over Cole Miller and most recently Mac Danzig along the way.

Other bouts scheduled for the event include Brad Pickett-Yves Jabouin as well as a headliner between Stefan Struve-Stipe Miocic. Nottingham product Dan Hardy is also expected to see action on the lineup.
