It appears Paul Daley’s time under the Zuffa banner has not in fact ended as some felt may have been the case when “Semtex” took two fights outside of Strikeforce after back-to-back losses in the organization. Instead, according to Strikeforce officials, the 28-year old British brawler will face seasoned competitor Kazuo Misaki on March 3 as part of a lineup in Columbus, Ohio featuring Miesha Tate-Ronda Rousey and the conclusion of the company’s heavyweight Grand Prix.

The bout will mark Misaki’s first in Strikeforce in more than three years with his only bout in the promotion resulting in a September 2008 TKO over Joe Riggs. The 24-11-2 Misaki is currently on a two-fight winning streak and last fought in April where he stopped Akira Shoji with strikes in the second round of their bout.

Daley has also emerged with his hand raised the last two times he’s fought though both came via decision, uncharacteristic for the 29-11-2 striker who has 20 TKOs to his credit. Among his notable past wins are instances of success against Jorge Masvidal, Jordan Radev, Duane Ludwig, and Martin Kampmann.

The March 3 event is scheduled to take place as part of the annual Arnold Sports Festival. Tate vs. Rousey will be for Tate’s bantamweight championship.
