The next challenge in Bobby Lashley’s continued transition from WWE superstar to legitimate Mixed Martial Artist will come later this month and be one of the more difficult he’s faced since initially making the move a little less than three years ago. Set for a July 29 in Kansas City, Lashley is scheduled to serve as one part of the main event at Titan FC 19 with hard-hitting UFC veteran Eddie Sanchez standing opposite from him in the cage.

News of the match-up was revealed through a statement from HDNet where the card will also be broadcast live come showtime.

Sanchez will be making his promotional debut after compiling a 12-5 overall record including wins in the UFC as well as Bellator. He has finished eleven of the twelve total opponents he’s beaten including eight by way of TKO meaning Lashley should certainly have his hands full considering his last few performances.

The 6-1 physical specimen struggled to put John Ott, normally a middleweight, away in his last outing at Titan FC 17 and showed suspect conditioning once again after gassing out against Chad Griggs in his previous fight. However, Lashley has also shown flashes of brilliance in his young career with four first frame stoppages under his belt.

Titan FC 19 will also feature Rob Kimmons battling Bubba McDaniel in co-headlining action with Alonzo Martinez taking on James Krause earlier in the evening as well.
