Ultimate Fighter Season 11 winner Court McGee has been booked for a showdown with apt finisher Dongi Yang this fall when the UFC stops in New Orleans for the first time in nearly a decade. Booked for “Battle on the Bayou,” the middleweight pairing will pit two men against each other who not only have a habit of finishing their opponents but have never personally suffered a knockout or submission loss themselves.

News of the September 17 match-up was revealed through the UFC’s website in addition to an earlier announced battle between fan-favorite Alan Belcher and talented grappler Jason MacDonald.

Winner of his last seven fights, McGee hasn’t been seen in the ring since submitting Ryan Jensen at UFC 121 and was expected to compete this June before a knee injury put his return on hold. He has an overall record of 13-1 with wins over Jensen, Kris McCray, DaMarques Johnson, and has only tasted defeat a single time with the vastly more experienced Jeremy Horn outpointing him in 2007.

Yang is in a similar position to McGee career-wise minus the Ultimate Fighter hardware, as the 26-year old South Korean’s lone loss came via decision. However, the 10-1 Yang has knocked out nine of the ten opponents he’s beaten and submitted the remaining adversary. His most recent performance came in March at UFC Live 3 against Rob Kimmons and resulted in a third round TKO.
