Matt Veach entered the UFC with an impressive unblemished record of 11-0, and he will be making his exit with a slightly tarnished record of 11-2. has recently learned of the release of Veach by the UFC through sources close to the situation.

The dismissal from the UFC for Veach comes on the heels of a two fight losing skid since inking with the promotion.

Veach made his UFC debut during the TUF 10 finale in Decmber of 2009, submitting to a rear naked choke in the second round at the hands of newly crowned UFC lightweight champion Frankie Edgar. The Illinois based fighter followed that performance with a second round guillotine choke from Paul Kelly at UFC 112, and with the defeat was given a temporary vacation from the UFC.
