Former UFC and Pride FC heavyweight champion, Mark Coleman, is all set to face off with The Ultimate Fighter season one runner up, Stephan Bonnar, at UFC 100.
UFC 100 is scheduled to take place on July 11th from the Mandalay Bay Events Center in Las Vegas.
Both men recently suffered defeats after trying to rebound after extended layoffs, and this bout will undoubtedly be a must win situation for both fighters.
Coleman took a two year hiatus after suffering an armbar loss to Fedor Emelianenko at Pride 32 in October of 2006. The UFC’s first ever heavyweight champion recently made the drop down to 205 pounds when he returned to the octagon where he suffered a disappointing knockout loss to Mauricio “Shogun” Rua in the third round of their bout that took place in January of this year.
Bonnar’s most current appearance in the UFC saw him dropping a hard fought decision to the up and coming Jon Jones at UFC 94. His previous fight was a win a TKO victory over Eric “Red” Schafer, but that fight took place way back at UFC 77 in October of 2007.
